The Rebound Therapy Institute
The Rebound Therapy Institute (RTI) is the international membership network and information-sharing hub for Rebound Therapy practitioners.
Membership is free of charge for all practitioners who hold a valid Rebound Therapy certificate with an up-to-date validation number.
Why Validation Matters
All authentic Rebound Therapy certificates carry a unique RTI validation number.
This number:
-
Confirms your training is accredited.
-
Shows when, where, and by whom your course was delivered.
-
Is often required for insurance purposes.
It’s a good idea to keep your validation number somewhere safe (such as saved in your phone) in case you misplace your certificate.

The Principles of Rebound Therapy
"The principles of Rebound Therapy form the basis of all gymnastic movement and are therefore the logical and advisable starting point for trampoline coach training – even for those who have no intention of teaching people with disabilities."
Rebound Therapy enhances movement by allowing energy-assisted patterns of motion to be programmed and repeated. This process meets the movement needs of those with motor impairments while also providing a strong foundation for able participants to progress through all levels of trampoline performance.
The term Rebound Therapy was created by Eddy Anderson in 1969. Correctly applied, it describes a defined methodology, assessment framework, and programme for using trampolines to support therapeutic positioning, exercise, and recreation for people with a wide range of additional needs.
To protect the integrity of the method, only practitioners qualified and validated by ReboundTherapy.org (UK) or its official international partners may use the title Rebound Therapy.
RTI Constitution
The Rebound Therapy Institute is founded on the following principles:
-
To pursue contribution towards fulfillment of the individual by developing personal qualities, attitudes and social skills through structured and progressive Rebound Therapy activities, subject to the participant's ability.
-
To provide an enjoyable, health giving and worthwhile recreational and therapeutic activity for all participants.
-
To encourage and enable participants to have a goal to work towards at all times.
-
To ensure the integrity and standard of instructors is maintained to a high standard.
-
To facilitate the sharing of ideas and knowledge for the continuing development of Rebound Therapy.
-
To further the understanding that the principles of Rebound Therapy form the basis of gymnastic movement and can be used as a logical starting point for all trampoline coach training.
