1972: Eddy Anderson starts using Rebound Therapy with special need students whilst Deputy Head Teacher with Leeds Education Authority.
1980s Eddy Anderson, now Head Teacher with Cleveland LEA, develops a course structure for Rebound Therapy.
1980s Eddy forms Rebound Therapy working party with the Chartered Society of Physiotherapists. Working with physiotherapists, Rebound Therapy was accepted as a modality in Exercise Therapy.
1990s: Eddy Anderson with support from Cleveland LEA produced a validated "Train The Trainers" course for Cleveland Special Schools. Co Tutor for this initiative was a senior teacher Lynn Schofield.
1993: Eddy wins the Toshiba / CBI invention of the year award for his hydrotherapy and special needs swimming floatation aid, now known as Sensafloat
2000 Onwards. Eddy Anderson (now retired since 1993) works with Youth Sport Trust on their "Elements" programme, providing PE options for students with profound special needs. Rebound is included.
2006: Paul and Shirley Kaye - founders of the Saturn V Rebound Hall; the UK's first full time special needs trampolining and Rebound Therapy centre, join forces with Eddy and form the "Rebound Therapy.org" consultancy.
2006: Paul and Shirley's Saturn V Rebound Therapy Centre receives Surrey County Council's "Active Surrey" Bronze accreditation award
2007: Centre receives Surrey County Council's "Active Surrey" Silver then Gold accreditation awards
2007: Partnership formed with Winstrada - the Aesthetic Sports Development Foundation
2008: Staff training courses receive approved status from the Professional Development Board for Physical Education which is supported by afPE
2009: Awarded npower "Community Award" for services to disability sport, at the Federation of Disability Sports Organisations' annual sports award event.
2009: Awarded corporate affiliation to the CPD Institute
2009: PDB approved provider status awarded by afPE
2010: Rebound Therapy Institute formed
2010: Partnership working arrangement formed with the English Federation of Disability Sport
2010: Rebound Therapy introduced into Australia and working partnership formed with GNSW; the New South Wales, Australia governing body for gymnastics
